I remember my grandma telling me the story of when I was born. My grandmother would recall the memory of my grandpa's excitement after counting all of my fingers and toes, mentioning how "I was ALL THERE." I remember my grandfather not saying much when these stories were told. Still, his sweet facial expressions gave him away as the recollection softened his face, gave him the eye gaze of someone recalling a fond memory while tightening the corners of his mouth, which plumped his cheeks ever so slightly. The photos they took of me when I was a baby were endless. My grandfather and grandmother were a blessing to my life. They raised me for the majority of my life while my mother was in and out of being too busy trying to figure out her own self.
